The Pulmonary Health & HME webinar will begin with a review of pulmonary physiology to serve as a foundation for requisite use of HMEs in patients with a tracheostomy.

The webinar will then proceed with an overview of the Freevent HME range, including guidance on their initiation in both the acute and community setting as well as their role in optimizing the humidifcation prescription.

After the pulmonary health and HME overview, Ann Kearney of Stanford Hospital will present her paper on the use of TrachPhone within the inpatient hospital setting.

The webinar will conclude with a Q&A and panel discussion involving Ann Kearney, as well as Glenn Croft and Maribeth Cambridge (both nurses working at Stanford Hospital. Panelist will take questions on both the presented study, as well as the practicalities involved in initiating and managing HMEs for patients with a tracheostomy.
