Director of Finance and Business Support

The Director of Finance and Business Support will provide leadership, strategic direction, and oversight for local operations to include: DtC Operations (Revenue Cycle Management, Insurance Verification, and Medical Records); Accounting, Audit & Regulatory; as well as Supply Chain Operations (Warehouse & Facility). As a member of the leadership team, works closely with leaders to achieve best practice in the areas of revenue growth, operational efficiency, and legal/compliance matters. Creates accountability for execution of key initiatives through project leadership.

Key Responsibilities of the Director of Finance and Business Support

  • Serves as a trusted business partner to the SVP & Managing Director and senior leadership team.
  • Provide clear direction and define priorities for direct reporting teams as well as indirect functional support teams; meets or exceed organizational key performance indicators, monitor performance, and redirect efforts when goals are not being met; champions change efforts to support commercial priorities and sales effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and improve quality, quantify the impact, prioritize initiatives, and develop execution plans. Drive efficiency with core financial processes (reporting, accounting, controls, tax, audit); leverage Coloplast partner’s business center where appropriate.
  • Translates business strategies into clear objectives and tactics. Creates realistic plans including a budget, staffing responsibilities, and operating income/expenses; plans prepare and follows up on forecasts, budgets, AP and AR activities, and departments’ operating costs; anticipates problems and develops contingency plans; establishes and implements effective and efficient procedures for getting work done. Develop financial/P&L analysis with new growth opportunities.
  • Establishes standards and goals for the team and holds them accountable to achieving those goals; conveys trust in people’s competence to do their jobs; recognizes people for good performance; acknowledges and celebrates team accomplishments; acts as a liaison between the area of responsibility and other functions in the organization to develop appropriate support. Influences and shapes the decisions; provide a compelling rationale for ideas; works toward win/win solutions whenever possible.
  • Serve as a partner, mentor, and collaborator throughout the organization. Provide teams of varying skill levels with the tools, assistance/ support, and leadership needed to do their jobs; consistently monitors staff performance; provide specific and constructive feedback; coach staff in the development of their skills/ abilities/ knowledge.

Requirements

REQUIRED LEVEL OF EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent experience

PREFERRED EDUCATION

Education: master’s degree from an accredited college or university.

REQUIRED AREA OF STUDY / MAJOR:

Business Administration; Accounting or Finance

REQUIRED LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE:

10+ years of progressive experience

REQUIRED AREA OF EXPERIENCE:

Three years of financial management experience, preferably within the Home Medical Equipment industry. Current knowledge of all applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
