KURZ Tympanoplasty

In 1994 KURZ Medizintechnik launched their first versions of pure titanium grade 2 middle ear prostheses, which at the time was world news! The combination of many years of experience, clinical testing, profound cooperation with renowned surgeons worldwide and high engineering skills is the base of their middle ear tympanoplasty prostheses range.

The prostheses have been carefully developed in accordance with important criteria for a superior product. All features have been thoroughly evaluated in test models and experimental studies.

Tuebingen Titanium Prostheses (TTP®)

The partial BELL model has a uniquely fitted, anatomically shaped bell that optimizes sound conduction and also ensures a secure placement on the stapes capitulum. This delicate bell provides enough space for the stapedial tendon and can easily be adapted to anatomical differences.

The total AERIAL model is favorably weight balanced, which together with the delicate design considerably facilitates the handling of the prostheses. Hearing results are also favorable even in the high frequency range.

TTP® VARIO – BELL or AERIAL

TTP®-VARIO is an extension of the Tuebingen model in shape and features. They differ however in one important feature: the length of the prosthesis is easily modified by crimping the prosthesis headplate, with which the prosthesis is shortened in steps of 0.25 mm. You get a full range of sizes, down to a functional length of 0.75 mm, which is necessary to accommodate all anatomical varieties.

TTP® VARIAC – Partial or Total

This product contains a VARIO partial or total prosthesis together with an equivalent ACsizer disc.
