During the 1990‘s titanium entered the field of otological materials for middle ear surgery. KURZ was the first company to introduce titanium prostheses to the market. Titanium, which is available in different grades of purity, has proven to have excellent biocompatibility and superior mechanical characteristics.

KURZ only utilizes high-quality pure titanium, with the most superior mechanical properties, such as elasticity, stability and stiffness.
