Provox voice prostheses
The original Provox® voice prosthesis was developed in 1988 to provide an advanced indwelling prosthesis with low airflow resistance and extended device lifetime. The second-generation Provox prosthesis (Provox®2) was introduced in 1997. Based on the original Provox design, Provox2 allows bi-directional insertion, i.e. either anterograde insertion through the stoma or retrograde insertion through mouth and pharynx.
The new Provox ActiValve is intended to help people who face short prosthesis lifetime due to various biological conditions.
Dedicated accessories for professional and patient use facilitate insertion and regular care of the voice prosthesis.
