Enhanced protection versus airborne microbes for laryngectomees
Provox Micron HME, when worn in front of the tracheostoma, helps to reduce the transfer of viruses and bacterias by means of its electrostatic filter. This is especially important for laryngectomees with a compromised immune system.
A new era for HMEs
Provox HME cassettes have, ever since the introduction more than a decade ago, been a highly successful tool in pulmonary rehabilitation world wide. Now we take the next step with the introduction of a Provox HME in combination with a highly efficient electrostatic filter media: The Provox Micron HME.
Same HME features as the original
Provox Micron HME has the same well proven features as Provox original HMEs which have been shown in numerous studies over the years. The housing dwells a foam, treated with calcium chloride, for optimal moist retention.

The need for a microbial filtering HME has increased over the years. Provox Micron HME features a highly efficient electrostatic microbial filtering material. Now, laryngectomees can get better protection against airborne pathogens on top of the HME feature!

Easy to use
There are several alternative ways to attach the Micron HME to the tracheostoma. No need for assembling; just open the package and choose any of the devices in the Provox System (the Micron HME is disposable and intended to be used 24 hours after opening – change daily). The Provox System consists of seven different adhesives, soft silicone tubes (Provox LaryTube) and soft silicone stoma buttons (Provox LaryButton).
