GPR Academy covers new ground

Over the last several decades considerable progress in voice, pulmonary and olfaction rehabilitation of the total laryngectomy patient has been made. The Global Postlaryngectomy Rehabilitation Academy (GPRA) was founded to spread this knowledge around the world.

The purpose of the GPRA is to organize annual teaching courses throughout the world with a faculty of international and local experts. Since 1994 the Netherlands Cancer Institute has run annual workshops on postlaryngectomy rehabilitation; in total more than 65 courses. This successful concept is the base for the GPRA. The courses are sponsored by Atos Medical AB.

"We have been receiving an increasing amount of requests from all over the world to hold the course in other places too,” International Product Manager Johan Månsson explains.

In 2009 courses will be held in India, Jordan, Australia, Italy, the Netherlands and the US. More info can be found via our Event pages and www.gpracademy.com.
