Atos Medical’s catalog “Home Care Accessories” features our broad range of accessories to supplement our products within tracheostomy and laryngology. The accessories cover areas such as tracheostomy stoma care, secure attachment and pulmonary rehabilitation. They are all designed with one common goal in mind - to improve the patient’s quality of life.

Tracheostomized and laryngectomized persons have the stoma in common. However, the laryngectomee does not have any natural airway anymore and can only breathe in and out via the stoma. A tracheostomized person usually breathes normally but he or she has a medical condition or problem in the airways that needs to be assisted. Also, most tracheostomized persons still have their vocal cords intact, which is not the case for laryngectomees.
